A Journey Through History, Taste & Tradition
This private full-day tour brings together some of the most meaningful places in the Rethymno region — from sacred caves and ancient cities to living villages, local producers, and one of Crete’s most powerful historic symbols.

Your day begins with a visit to Melidoni Cave, a place of natural beauty and deep historical importance. From there, you continue to a local olive oil and honey producer, where you can taste traditional Cretan products and learn more about the flavours that define the island.

The route then leads to Margarites, one of Crete’s most charming traditional villages, famous for its long pottery tradition. You will visit the Gerarchakis pottery workshop and have free time to walk through the narrow alleys, browse small local shops, and enjoy the peaceful village atmosphere.

The day continues with Ancient Eleutherna, an archaeological site connected with centuries of Cretan history, before a relaxed lunch stop at a traditional taverna. In the afternoon, you visit the historic Arkadi Monastery — a landmark of freedom, faith, and resistance, and one of the most important monuments in Crete.
